UPDATE: New Dog Law in the Canton of Zurich - Date of Introduction Unknown

“Two complaints against the new regulation of dog training have been filed with the administrative court. Since the complaint proceedings will take some time until a legally binding decision is available, the introduction of the amendments to the dog law and the dog ordinance on 1 June 2022 is no longer realistic. Due to the uncertain duration of the proceedings, no new date can be named at present. We will inform you again as soon as we know more.”

Until then, the current regulation for large dog breeds in the canton of Zurich applies:

Up to the 16th week of life: 4 puppy course lessons

From the 16th week of life: 10 young dog course or education course lessons
